Who celebrates St. Patricks Day! I mean really...all i remember doing growing up was making sure i wore green and that was it. But Sadie keeps talking about the leprachaun coming and leaving a surprise in her room and up until about 9pm the night of did it finally register that she is really expecting something...so whats a mom to do?!
Google of course!
So i found some leprachaun feet and put them all over her room leading to the treasure of Gold (quarters)! And i thought, that was easy...now lets all go to bed and find gold in the morning.
Well, if you have read my earlier posts you will know that my 2 year old has just moved into a big girl bed and on this particular night she woke up and went into her sisters bed to sleep with her. I of course hear them and wake up to see what is going on and they are both in sadies bed..(this is about 1:30am) and the first thing out of sadies mouth is...are those leprachaun feet on my wall?
Me: Looks like it.
Sadie: Where is he?
Me: I don't know,, hes probably gone now hunny, go back to bed and we will check in the morning.
Sadie: (Eyes wide open, too scared to get out of bed)
So i take Amberly back to her room and ly with her until she falls asleep.
30 min. later...
Amberly is asleep, i check on sadie and she is still wide eyes looking around too afraid to get out of bed.
It was really funny. I realized she wasn't going back to bed anytime (which meant i wasn't going to bed anytime soon) so i said lets see what he brought.
So @ 2am we followed the feet to the "Gold" and she was satisfied and able to go back to bed.
Luckily we all slept the rest of the night...

That is so cute...at lest you did something, this year has been so poopie for me I almost have had the attitude that my kids are small enough that if we don't talk about he holliday's they will never come. I really get to get in the groove of things.
Kamber, that is the cutest story! I can just picture that all happening! I can imagine how frightened little Sadie must have been to find Leprachaun feet all over her room. Hannah would have reacted the exact same way!
So funny Kamber!! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one up at 2am with a child for random reasons! It's nice to know that I'm not alone!
I am so happy Kaleb was nice to your Amberly. I know that he has had fun playing with her. I think it's really cute when boys and girls can be good buds & play nicely together.
Hopefully the weather will let us get out of our houses again...SOON!!!
